Details & Specs N TGV “Lyria” Euroduplex 10-Car Set, SNCF Prototype Information: TGV Lyria Euroduplex is a high-speed train operating between Paris and Switzerland. In order to increase passenger capacity, the train started the operaton in December of 2019 in the form of double-decker (duplex) by replacing the conventional single-decker train cars. The outside of the train features the newly designed logo in use from 2016 and arrow design motif, using the basic traditional red colour, associated with speedy and dynamic movement. Furthermore, the main destinations of France and Switzerland are represented on the exterior. The international train TGV Lyria Euroduplex, whose origin lies in the former TEE (Trans-Europ-Express) Cisalpin and Ligne de Cœur, will now be introduced as part of KATO’s “High-speed trains of the world” series. Model Features: – In vivid red as its basic color, KATO will reproduce the new “Lyria”, which evolved into double-decker Euroduplex to enhance passenger capacity. – The body for the locomotives at both ends of the train includes the closed dent beneath the windshield and the added antenna. – Pantographs for AC and DC are made differently from each other (The placement and shape are partly different from the prototype). – Names of cities served are painted on the sides of the cars and logos are beautifully represented. – The seats in all passenger cars are ivory colour. – Power unit with flywheel motor for smooth operation. – Head lights/tail lights light up (bulb colour LED). – Prototypical 20-car train formation can be run by removing the coupler cover from the tip of the locomotive and using the drawbar supplied. – DCC compatible. (Those equipped with a 6-pin socket are compatible with M1 and M2. However, the CV29 value of decoders equipped with M2 must be changed and the head and tail lights reversed.)
